TISOFLON® technical fabrics coated with PTFE or silicone

  PTFE-coated       Silicone coated       Adhesives

Since its creation, Isoflon has offered TISOFLON® fabrics coated with PTFE or silicone. As a manufacturer, Isoflon has the latest high-performance equipment for impregnation, adhesive deposition, rewinding and cutting of technical fabrics. Isoflon has ISO9001 certification, ensuring the production of reliable TISOFLON® with consistent quality thanks to constant, thorough controls. The basic fabrics come from the major worldwide weavers and the PTFE dispersions used are from Fluon® from Asahi Glass and Hostaflon ® from Dyneon and the major world producers. The experience acquired and our in-depth knowledge of these products enable us to meet your needs under the best possible conditions. Today, we export our TISOFLON around the world.

All of these fabrics are sold as-is in standard widths or lengths provided as rolls or formats cut to order.Non-adhesive fabrics are also used for making conveyor belts according to your size requirements

TISOFLON® has the unique properties of PTFE:
- exceptional non-stick surface, easy cleaning
- very low coefficient of friction
- working temperature from -150°C to +260°C for glass fabrics and up to +200°C for Kevlar® fabrics*
- non-toxic and compliant for food applications
- strong resistance to all chemicals (except for molten alkaline metals and certain highly reactive fluorinated agents)
- excellent dimensional stability and strong tensile strength due to glass fabrics
- flexibility
- high electrical insulating power, strong resistance to electric arc
- insensitive to microwaves, UVs and IRs.

Premium quality:
This reference has high PTFE impregnation, an extra-smooth surface giving it the best non-stick qualities, low porosity and high mechanical resistance.

Standard quality:
This reference has the principal advantages of PTFE-coated glass fabrics: non-stick properties, temperature resistance and mechanical strength. It is the most commonly used reference in most applications.

Economical quality:
This reference is produced with standard glass fabric but with less PTFE impregnation.

Mechanical quality :
This reference is produced with glass fabric with great mechanical resistance but low PTFE content.

Open mesh fabrics:
These references can be offered with 1 x 1 mm to 5 x 5 mm mesh openings. They are generally used in the production of conveyor belts for cooking or drying in industry.

Porous fabrics:
This quality is made of glass fabric with open structures coated with PTFE, providing controlled porosity.

Dielectric quality:
This reference is very heavily coated with PTFE, is very smooth and has excellent dielectric properties.

Laminated fabrics:
This reference, made of laminated multiple layers, was specially designed for cooking fat products in the food industry.

Grease and tear resistant fabrics:
Special treatment increases flexibility and tear resistance in these references.

Heavy thickness fabrics:
These fabrics are mainly used for producing large-sized conveyor belts and/or those carrying heavy loads requiring high mechanical resistance.

A few applications

- covering for heat sealing plates or welding bars for plastic films in the packaging industry
- release sheets for moulds for producing composites in the aeronautics industry
- food cooking sheets – covering for mirrors in welding PVC sections for construction
- insulation of cables or components for the electrical/electronic industry
- non-stick inserts on presses for producing abrasive disks, particle board, etc.
-covering cylinders in the textile and paper industries
- conveyor belts

Anti-static PTFE coated glass fabrics: :

These fabrics are produced with the same bases as PTFE-coated fabrics, but with the addition of graphite.
This gives them antistatic and thermal conductivity properties.
They are black and are available in full fabric or open mesh.
These references are generally cut into formats or used for producing antistatic, non-stick conveyor belts in heat applications in the electrical/electronic and textile industries.

PTFE-coated Kevlar® fabrics:

The base fabric in Kevlar® * has superior tensile strength, offers improved flexibility and very good dimensional stability. These fabrics are also recommended for applications in moist environments.
Temperature resistance is 200°C in continuous operation.
Available in full fabric or open mesh and possibly in black antistatic quality.

Silicone-coated glass fabrics  |   Top of page

TISOFLON® has characteristics quite similar to those of PTFE-coated fabrics: good temperature resistance (+230°C), good chemical and electric resistance. But they are more flexible and very non-stick.On the other hand, silicone has a non-slip surface, unlike PTFE.These fabrics are available coated on one or both sides, in red or white colour.
The most common applications are conveyor belts, sleeves, oven entry/exit curtains, baking sheets and for packaging, food, printing, chemical and rubber industries.

Adhesive technical fabrics and films  |   Top of page

These adhesive fabrics and films have all the non-stick, temperature resistance, chemical resistance and electrical insulation properties of TISOFLON® from which they are made. All these references are produced with a silicone adhesive (working temperature: -70°C to +260°C in peak operation)They can also be supplied with an acrylic adhesive with greater initial tack but less temperature resistance (-40° to +175°C)All adhesives come in the standard model with an embossed film protecting the adhesive. Upon request, they can be delivered without this liner.

Optimum storage conditions : these adhesive fabrics must be protected from sunlight and UVs. They should be stored in a clean place with an ideal temperature of 15 to 25°C and humidity between 45 and 75%.
Recommendations for application : the support should be degreased with a solvent, clean and dry.

PTFE-coated glass fabrics with adhesive on one side:

These glass+PTFE fabrics are made with premium quality, standard quality, economical quality or antistatic quality TISOFLON®, on which an adhesive is deposited. They of course have all the properties of the TISOFLON® they are made from.
The most common applications are non-stick covering for plastic welding and packaging machines, for drying cylinders in printing and textiles and for moulds.

Silicon rubber coated fabrics with adhesive on one side:

These fabrics combine excellent non-stick, temperature resistance and abrasion resistance properties. They are particularly recommended for protection in sanding or plasma projection operations. They are also used to coat rollers in ovens using TISOFLON® conveyor belts when the standard rubber coating no longer resists the temperatures.

Pure PTFE films with adhesive on one side:

These films have all the intrinsic properties of pure PTFE: excellent anti-adhesion, very low coefficient of friction, resistance to chemicals and electrical insulation.Pure PTFE films also exist without adhesive or with one side etched for bonding.

Heat-Sealer tape or Zone Tape for welding machines:

These tapes are mainly used in protecting welding bars from plastic films. They provide the advantage of being easy to attach with two side adhesives. The part that comes into contact with the heating bar has no adhesive, so the working temperature can be reduced. They are fast and easy to replace and require no cleaning.Heat Sealers come in 30- or 50-metre rolls with customized widths, with standard or antistatic quality TISOFLON® fabric and paper or double-sided adhesives.
