Isoflon has mastered the production of ISOFLON® fluoropolymer coatings for many years.
Thanks to the expertise of our technicians and the experience of our sales staff, Isoflon can determine what coating will best meet your needs.
Isoflon can coat unit parts or production series.
The production department’s reactivity makes it possible to offer short, or even express (if scheduled), delivery times to reduce the time lost to the immobilisation of your parts.
Modern, specialised equipment enables us to guarantee reliable, high-quality work.
ISOFLON® coatings improve the surface characteristics of all types of parts to obtain optimum service conditions.
They are adapted to your needs and your application in your business sector.
ISOFLON® coatings are applied to metal parts and to certain rubber or glass parts.

The support

ISOFLON® coatings can be deposited on all types of metals as well as certain elastomers, glasses and plastics thanks to coatings with low baking temperatures.
Pieces of all shapes can be accepted, even the most complex .

Surface preparation

The surface is prepared carefully as suited to the type of support :

  • burning to eliminate all impurities encrusted in the part and which could bleed out during baking.
  • degreasing to remove any contaminants.
  • micro-sanding to eliminate and existing coating and/or to optimise adhesion of the ISOFLON® coating.
Application of the coating
  • spraying:
The coating is applied by liquid spraying, dipping or electrostatic dusting, manually or automatically.
It is possible to apply one or more coats, to coat the part in whole or reserve certain parts by individual masking or by tooling for the series
    .
  • curing :
The coating is first dried then cured for adhesion on the substrate to obtain a resistant, stable film with an impeccable finish.
  • tests :
We perform destructive and non-destructive tests on thickness and sticking .

Suggestions and guide for requesting an estimate for a ISOFLON® coating   |   Top of page

Suggestions for manufacturing a part to be coated with ISOFLON®

In certain cases, a hole should be left in the part to be able to hang it for spraying.
Check that the substrate will resist the coating’s baking temperature, with no risk of modifying the part’s geometry.
In the case of an adjusted assembly, plan for the additional thickness on the raw part.
Avoid very different thicknesses of metal on the same part.
Avoid sharp angles, welds that are not ground; deburr and round off sharp parts.
Avoid curls.
The holes in the metal should have a diameter of at least 3 mm .
For small bores, the diameter should be greater than the depth.

Guide to choosing and requesting an estimate for ISOFLON® coating

  • Your part:
    - Material
    - Temperature resistance (maximum)
    - New part or re-coating
    - Shape, unit weight of the part, size
    - Value of the part to be coated
    - Order quantity/annual quantity

  • Working conditions:
    - Working temperature: continuous / peak
    - Environment
    - Nature of possible counterpart

  • Desired characteristics:
    - Chemical resistance
    - Non-stick, easy release mould and cleaning
    - Dry lubrication, reduced noise
    - Electrical insulation desired or to be avoided
    - Food grade
    - Total or partial coating (following plan)
    - Thickness
    - Colour
